What Is 3D Hand Carving?

Hand carving is a technique where the pile around a pattern's border is cut at an angle, creating a beveled, raised effect. On a standard machine-woven rug, patterns look flat. On a hand-carved rug, the design has actual dimensionality — shadows, highlights, and depth that change with the light.

Our Premium Plus collection uses mechanical carving combined with ultra color effects to create what appears to be a hand-finished, multi-tonal surface. The result is a rug that looks far more expensive than it is.
